Getting Started

+ How is Prism Prep different from other NPTE test prep companies?
Think of Prism Prep as a personalized roadmap for your NPTE preparation. Our software creates an easy-to-follow, day-by-day study plan tailored to your strengths, weaknesses, and study needs — plus detailed insight into your performance in each content area and recommendations for the best test prep resources.
+ I'm taking the NPTE in July. When's the best time to purchase?
You can purchase Prism Prep at any point and use it whenever you're ready to begin studying. We recommend starting three to four months before your exam date — our software will recommend a study timeline between 8 and 12 weeks. If your exam is late July, aim to have your plan ready by late April.
+ What does the day-by-day study plan actually look like?
Specific tasks based on the prep material you're using, covering everything in the time you have — with rest days and full-length practice exams built in. It's customized to your strengths and weaknesses, so you're always focusing on what matters most. Check out a demo plan here.

Your Assessment

+ Do you use AI to make the plans?
Absolutely not. AI will happily tell you it's great at building your study plan — we tried it, and it's not. The stakes are too high. Joe built the algorithm himself, combining his engineering background, tutoring expertise, and his own perfect NPTE score to make sure you get a plan actually created for you.
+ I don't have a score report. What's your assessment like?
Our 180 questions are designed to closely mirror the real exam — a similar mix (for example, more musculoskeletal than gastrointestinal) and a similar range of difficulty, so it accurately assesses your knowledge in each content area.
+ Help! I only have 4–6 weeks to study. What do I do?
Don't panic — it's not ideal, but it's not hopeless. Our assessment will normally recommend an 8- or 12-week plan; by combining some days you can still get through everything. If you want guidance, reach out at joe@myprismprep.com.
